Intermatic DTAV40M Intermatic/Grasslin 40A NEMA3R Defrost Timer
The Intermatic DTAV40M GrŠsslin auto voltage defrost timer mechanism is applicable to various defrost systems, including air defrost (compressor shutdown) and electric or hot gas defrost, where the defrost is terminated by the timer. If the coil is frost-free, the timers can also be terminated by temperature or pressure switches before the programmed defrost termination time has been reached. The time termination functions as a fail-safe and terminates the defrost cycle if the temperature or pressure switch fails to do so. The relay output of this device is 40A resistive, 2Hp at 250Vac, and it is a synchronous timer type with a temperature rating of -4 degrees Fahrenheit to 104 degrees Fahrenheit (-20 degrees Celsius to 40 degrees Celsius). The electrical life of the mechanism is 50,000 operations at full load, and it is manufactured in the United States. The device measures 5 inches in length and 2 inches in width, and its country of origin is the United States.
