To create a "lived-in" look, the random feature can vary the time your lights turn on by a few minutes. This in-wall timer requires a neutral wire and includes a built-in rechargeable lithium-ion battery with a minimum 7-day backup to retain the date and time, ensuring that your programs will not be lost in the event of a power failure.
